About Roshan

Dr. Roshan Panahi is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. He is passionate about how automated and efficient collection, storage, retrieval, and communication of data can improve the construction industry.

His research spans automation in construction, modular construction, infrastructure resilience, post-disaster recovery, discrete event simulation, computer vision, and large language models. Drawing on industry experience at Skanska and prior R&D work, he integrates simulation, artificial intelligence, optimization, and statistical analysis to deliver practical impact.

He earned his Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management from Oregon State University (2024), with a dissertation on automated monitoring of modular construction factories using computer vision.
